Appearance: Levin is a raggedy lad, small as a starveling, scrawny as a scarecrow. His skin is eerily pale; the sickly sallow-white of the anemiac. His hair is an ashen thicket of tangles and tousles, forming an overgrown frame for his boyish face. His eyes are large, storm-grey and haunted, with little trace of the tenderness that one would expect to see in one so young. Something wild and wounded lurks behind that ghostly gaze instead. On his travels, the witch is often accompanied by birds—particularly magpies—which flock to him like an ill tiding.

Possessions: Levin is a wanderer by necessity, so he owns very little in the way of personal possessions. Typically he wears rough peasant clothes, often frayed from travel. A practical witch to the core, he favours dark, drab tones, spurning vivid colours and gaudy patterns. Above all he prizes a sturdy pair of boots and a warm cloak or shawl, preferably with a cowl to keep his sensitive skin and eyes away from the sunlight. He always has a pair of daggers - a ritual athame and herb-cutting boline - as well as a satchel to carry the various essential ingredients of his craft.

Advantages: Raised from birth to be a witch of the woods, Levin is learned in his craft. He is a skilled herbalist and healer, knowing the properties of plants and roots, the brewing of potions, anodynes and abortifacients, the setting of bones and breaking of fevers, the practice of hygiene and even some basic chirurgery.
